The Benefit of Routine

Before dawn I awake to the sounds of birdsong that stimulates a mindset that I have adhered to for many years.
This ritual of rising and immediately making the bed creates a routine that sets a pattern for my day.
Without thought, that first task is completed, offering a sense of achievement and satisfaction. From here I am ready to commence my process of breathwork, meditation, stretching and exercise.

The benefits of having and maintaining this routine are considerable, as it sets a framework by which I can achieve my desired objective without relying on external motivation.
Whatever task or tasks you wish to complete regularly will be indoctrinated into your mindset when continually practiced, thus becoming a routine.
If the thought process around your actions is removed, the task becomes mechanical and when accepted with a positive outlook, becomes enjoyable.

Combining present moment awareness within your routine ensures you place a deep and concentrated focus on achieving the best results or outcomes possible.
Instead of slipping into the trap of reflection or projection, drill down into what you are doing at this very moment, and you will begin to enjoy the benefit of routine and all that has to offer.
