Our propensity to reside in our past is the catalyst for the pain and hardship we carry throughout our lives, often without ever achieving a resolution.
From the real or perceived lack of attention from parent’s or loved ones, bullying, hazing, through to unfavorable school and working environments, we carry a burden of pain.
Often it may remain dormant until triggered by an incident or event that pushes those memories to the forefront of our thoughts, and the struggle reignites.
There is absolutely no doubt that during our formative years we absorb those impact’s and unintentionally store those thoughts in our subconscious mind.
Storing faith in our ability to become the master of our thoughts, rather than living as a slave to them, offers the opportunity to alter our mindset and in turn, create harmony within our lives. If we learn to focus on living in the only time that is real, the present moment, we remove our habit of returning to dwelling on, or living in the past.
Why would we desire to wallow in a world of pain when we have a world of beauty, happiness and positivity readily available to us?
Release your past by residing in the present and begin to live the life you truly deserve. It is simply your mind that entraps or releases you…it’s your choice.
