Mental Massaging

The instant those debilitating knots form in our neck, shoulders, back or legs, we search for the number of our favored or recommended masseuse, who hopefully will perform their magic and keep us mobile. It usually does the trick to relieve the tension that has developed through living our fast-paced lifestyles.

Have you ever given thought to offering the same treatment to your mind? Throughout the day our minds are imbued with all manner of complex thought patterns that may create tension or stress, which in turn have a multiplying affect throughout the rest of our body. Compounding this is the fact that often this stress or distress plagues our sleeping patterns as well, creating a plethora of health issues if we don’t take immediate action to rectify these problems.

Consider giving yourself regular mental massages to alleviate the tension and stress build up that invariably occurs to all of us, if not correctly managed. The simple process of breathwork does wonders to relieve tension, through calming the thought process as we concentrate on our breathing patterns. Our bodies were created to support and self-heal, although I’m not sure that the levels of punishment we apply to ourselves were meant to be a part of the intended process!!

Through correct breathing we allow ourselves to enter a state that allows for the calming of our mind, that is, to be free of thought. This meditative state allows complete and utter relaxation for both the mind and body, and if regularly practiced, will deliver some amazing flow on effects as well. Allow yourself to remain in the “holiday state” by freeing yourself of destructive thought processes and training yourself to “think” healthily and happily. Make mental massages a priority in your daily routine.
