With each new dawn we are witnessing the gradual descent of our global obligation to uphold moral values, to work together to achieve positive outcomes for all societies and to be guided by common decency.
Across every pocket of the globe an underlying simmering of tension is occurring, as we are blindly led by our egoic mind in believing each of us has a greater right, or are more deserving than our fellow earthly inhabitants.
The insanity of these thoughts can only result in catastrophic outcomes, yet we blithely follow this path.
It does not require a scholastic mind to understand that there are no winners in war…the price we pay for our selfish ways is far too high.
Each and every human walking this earth has the capacity to embrace tolerance, to understand that we are completely reliant upon each other to navigate life’s journey and that it is in fact a necessity if we are to proliferate as the human race.
As we witness moments of climatic upheaval, political posturing and bullying, domestic and social violence and exacerbated mental health pressures, it seems pertinent to stand back and ask the question, “where have we gone wrong?”
Perhaps the answer may lie in our penchant for non tolerance of others whilst elevating ourselves, due to us falling prey to our unchecked ego’s.
